Farming Sustainability
It has been 3 years to get our wine to the delivery stage in Houston Texas. The vineyard has been professionally managed and now it is here. But to get to this exciting point, we have an extraordinary team who assisted and made it possible.
We farm bio-dynamically, using organic farming methods. We are employing compost as fertilizer and avoiding most pesticides. we use soil supplements and follow a planting calendar that treats the earth as a living organism. We are moving forward to fully organic farming in 3 years.

Consultant Winemaker, Santiago Achaval
Santiago Achaval fell in love with wines and winemaking after visiting the Napa Valley while receiving his MBA from Stanford. His winery in Mendoza, boasts four of the five highest rated wines in Argentine history.
Wine Director, Mariana Onofri
Mariana Onofri has been the Wine Director for The Vines of Mendoza since 2009. She oversees all winemaking plans and customized wine design. Prior to The Vines she worked at Chateau La Violette in Pomerol, Bordeaux, France. And has been in Sommelier in La Bourgogne in Punta Del Este Uruguay. She also did winemaking internships in Napa and France.
Winemaker, Pablo Martorell
Our winemaker, Pablo Martorell is a winemaker awarded from Wine Advocate and Wine Enthusiast for The Vines’ Recuerdo Wines. Born and raised in Tunuyán, he has worked at some of the most important wineries in Mendoza. Which include Bodega Nieto Senetiner, Catena Zapata, Trivento and Bodega Flecha de los Andes, under the esteemed Michel Rolland’s tutelage.
Vineyard owners, Derek and Colleen
Derek and Colleen are based in the Houston Texas area. But originally Colleen is from upstate New York. Derek is originally from Scotland. We started this adventure for our love of Super Premium and Premium wines at a price we can all enjoy.
